Musical Vegetables

Hey everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Things have been quite busy.
First of all, Happy Valentines day everyone! Anyone doing anything exciting?

Last weekend was our room mate's Christmas party (it got postponed b/c of the storm). I made enough food for about 20 people and, since there were only 5 of us, we were rather stuffed by the tine we were done...and there were a lot of left overs. It was fun, though. Just wish we'd had more time.

We went to a game night at our new favourite store. The next game night is this Sat., but I don't think we'll be able to make it.

I went to the librarian's conference and had a good time. Hopefully I'll be able to spend more time at the next one. It was kind of bad timing this year.

Other stuff has been happening, but I doubt you want a blow by blow account of my life. So instead, I don't know if I've mentioned them before, but thought people like to know about/be reminded of the Vegetable Orchestra web site - example of music.

In retaliation for KL's March of the Librarians Video, I would like everyone, especially those mangoes who are scared of the moving shelves, just how fun moving stacks can be!

We tried to put Pigasus up tonight, but as he screws into the ceiling, this proved a bit awkward. Instead, he has taken up residence on top of my desk w/ a Shakespeare bobble head, a Black Knight plushie, and a stuffed lobster. I think he will be happy in his new home. When we have a ceiling we're allowed to put screws in, he will be able to fly properly :)

It's slack week!!! Of course, this only means that I have my Monday evening back and can go to KL's movie night. The only other difference is that I didn't have to get up at 6 this morning and won't tomorrow either. Otherwise I have tons of work and other unpleasant stuff to do :P

Happy Valentines Day everyone :)
I hope you have all had a love and chocolate filled day. PI and I celebrated last week so we could have a romantic evening out w/o the rest of the city at the same table or being rushed 'cause someone else had booked our table. It was lovely. Today we're both very tired so we'll save the wine for another day so we can actually enjoy it.

News and Even More Strange Music

Not much is going on in my confused world lately. PI and I interviewed and hired a photographer last Tues. We're meeting at the hall w/ the caterer today so he can see the facilities and we can discuss the menu and he can ask questions. Also, we went to a Cooking Club meeting last night and had a good time. The theme was cheese. Rather an heavy meal, but very yummy. We brought a Greek salad in the hopes of cutting through the cheese a bit. There was also a baked goat cheese salad, poutine, mac and cheese, spinach ricotta dumplings, a broccoli gratan concoction, many kinds of cheese and crackers, apple pie, cheese cake, etc. and the obligatory wine that goes w/ cheese. There was also a lot of good conversation and, since I knew no one there, it was a good chance to meet some more people in my program.

Since Blogger has been bought by Google, a few changes have been made. It's easier to search past posts, but I'm having a hard time finding old comments and still having them local to Blogger. I'm sure I'll sort it out, but if there are any changes you'd recommend or don't like, let me know.

Now I'm off to the essays again :P Enjoy the music while I'm gone.
